With A Voice of Singing

St. Thomas Methodist Church

1 Muller St, Plettenberg Bay

21 December 2025 @ 6pm (Doors open 5.30pm)

Entry: Voluntary Donations in support of Hospice Plett, at the door, on the night

Jill Kirkland and the Seaside Choristers have been supporting Hospice Plett for ten years.
The first concert, Canticles by Candlelight, was staged in 2015; this was followed by internationally renowned works by Sir Karl Jenkins: The Peacemakers and The Armed Man, Invitation to a Miracle by Joseph M. Martin, and The Night of the Father’s Love by Pepper Chopin.

Jill challenges her choir with stimulating, diverse music. She then approaches musicians to complement the singers, writes the script for the narrator David Hall-Green, and discusses the music with the conductor, her daughter, Robyn Brouckaert. Des Lindberg and Sue Sklair, well known musicians and performers, will also participate in the concert.

It is a mammoth undertaking requiring inspiration, great dedication and vision, a supreme challenge for a musician who has just celebrated her ninetieth birthday. We applaud you, Jill.

The Board of Hospice Plett would like to extend their grateful thanks to Jill Wells, Robyn Brouckaert and the Seaside Choristers, who have all given so generously of their time and delighted Plett audiences with their talent.
The music carefully selected by Jill for this concert will surprise the audience by its diversity, light-heartedness, solemnity and scope.

It has been a privilege to have been able to practise weekly at St Thomas, and our thanks are extended to the Reverend Tim Rist.
